ABAC THEATER GROUP
 The
ABAC Theater Group is a vibrant and energetic component
of the Academy.
Formed in 1998 as a branch of the Academy, the predominant
goal of ABAC Theater is to regularly bring theatrical
productions in the Bengali language, primarily produced
by ABAC members. Occasionally, invited shows are staged
as well.
Particular emphasis is placed on the message of the
plays as they pertain to the lives and cultures of Bangladesh,
West Bengal, expatriate communities in the world, and
their interactions with the world around them. To this
end, original Bengali plays as well as well-adapted
versions of international plays are to be brought to
the community.
