The Academy of
Bangla Arts & Culture (ABAC) in Irving, Texas, was the proud
host of the the 36th Bengal Studies Conference.
Since its inception in 1965, the BSC has been an important
point of confluence for scholars from a wide variety of academic
disciplines including, but not limited to, anthropology, history,
sociology, philosophy, religion, linguistics, graphic, plastic and
performing arts, political science, as well as applied sciences,
such as urban planning, civil engineering, agriculture, and information
technology.

The 36th Bengal Studies Conference was convened by Shoumyo Dasgupta
and chaired by Sauripada Bhattacharya.
